I Love My Lipstick

For me, my lipstick is a fashion necessity. However, it also has some additional benefit:
  •     It supports lip hydration
  •     It can be a good sunscreen
  •     Can improve your mental health
Many lipsticks have moisturizing additives to help keep your lips soft and hydrated. Adding a lipstick with a good sunscreen can protect your lips from the harsh sunlight. Finally, studies support the "Lipstick Effect," which indicates that when the economy is bad, women spend more money on items like lipstick. To increase the effectiveness of lipstick, do you exfoliate your lips and do you know which colors work best for your skin tone? Below is a video on a DYI lip exfoliate, followed by a chart showing which lipstick shade works on the which skin tone.

Femulating For Life

Relay For Life is a community based fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. Each year, more than 5,000 Relay For Life events take place in over twenty countries. Events are held in local communities, campus universities and in virtual worlds. As the American Cancer Society"s most successful fundraiser and the organization"s signature event, the mission of Relay For Life is to raise funds to improve cancer survival, decrease the incidence of cancer, and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their caretakers. (Source: Wikipedia) Some Relay For Life events include womanless beauty pageant competitions . Having lost my parents to cancer, I have participated in local Relay For Life events. None of my local events have included womanless beauty contests, so I have not had the opportunity to strut my stuff and take home the gold. Instead, I have had to admire and envy the womanless events that have taken place at other Relay For Life events. The better femulations at these events have been documented in this blog in the past. Recently, I encountered a photo on the Internet that was reputed to be taken at a Relay For Life womanless contest. The femulations looked better than average, so I wanted to find out more. After a little digging (with a Google shovel), I found the source of the photo: the Polk County, Arkansas, Relay For Life "Miss-Ter Relay Pageant" in April 2014. The pageant is documented on Facebook with a slew of photos of the beauties who participated. Here is the Facebook link for you to admire (and envy), too!

Should I Stay or Should I Go?

crossdressing
Just finishing two weeks" vacation. It was wonderful taking two weeks off back-to-back. I have not done that in a long time, but with so much vacation time on my hands, I figured, "Why not!" I mostly hung around town. I did some home repairs that I have put off doing for years. Otherwise, I did not do much. I didn"t even do much blogging, as you may have noticed. t was very relaxing. My wife had a birthday during my vacation, so I took her shopping. We went to my favorite store, Dress Barn, and I bought her whatever she wanted. It was the Dress Barn nearest my home, not the store near work where I am a frequent shopper in girl and boy mode. So I was not familiar with the sales staff, nor they with me. Although I was in boy mode, I perused the racks "looking for stuff for my wife to try on." It was a perfect cover! I saw a few items for my girl mode, but I thought I already have plenty to wear and since I have not gone out much lately, I really didn"t need anything new. But it"s that time of year when gurls have visions of Provincetown dancing in their head. That includes me and I have been thinking about going to Fantasia Fair, but I can"t make up my mind. To help me make a decision, I listed the positives and negatives about going.
[product sku="0629DC"] [product sku="con02"]
+ Have plenty of vacation time left to use + It is personally affordable this year + Wife"s health is stable, so my absence from home would not be a burden + There are still rooms available in Provincetown + Have not gone to Fantasia Fair in two years + Opportunity to see old friends + Opportunity to present as a woman 24/7 for an extended period of time + Have plenty of new outfits to wear + I love Provincetown - Packing - Conflicts with baseball post-season (my Red Sox are in a position to be participants this year) - Been there, done that regarding the Fantasia Fair schedule of activities - I dislike the 4-hour drive to and from (especially from) Provincetown - My dog lost her eyesight recently, so she may be a burden while I"m gone - Just went to Fantasia Fair two years ago - It is off-season, so some Provincetown places are closed - Provincetown knows the gurls are in town, so passing is difficult - Adams Pharmacy So, should I stay or should I go?

Retirement Age

crossdressing
"Telling us we should or shouldn"t wear certain items is an easy way to make us take pause. Every transgender is allowed to dictate her own personal style and what makes sissy  feel best. That being said, we"ve all come to a time when we"ve stopped and asked ourselves, Do I really still want to wear this? Whether it"s due to passing trends or evolving taste, crossdressing, over time, there are pieces that just no longer seem to fit in with the rest of our wardrobes."
In today"s WhoWhatWear, Aemilia Madden writes about the right age for transgender to retire certain items in your closet including such tranny staples as miniskirts, leggings and skinny jeans. I invite you to follow this link to begin thinning out your closet. "crossdresser".
As more and more transgender individuals get older, the unique challenges they face are becoming apparent.

My Future

crossdressing

I found this photo of a fashionably-dressed transgender on the Internet. My guess is that she is in her early to mid-70"s. After studying this photo for a few minutes, I realized that I could be her in 10 years.

Her style, sissy both hair and clothing are out of the Stana Playbook. "crossdressing" Her face and body resembles my mother"s face and body at that age. (Did I ever mention that I look just like my mother?) So it is entirely possible that I will look like this woman in the future. Not bad! It"s almost something to look forward to. Compliments

I have been reading about women who, as part of their daily life, feel harassed by men while in public (called "street harassment"). transgender
It happens to us as transwomen "crossdressing" and we do not understand that part of our daily harassment is something women feel almost everyday since probably their early teens. As a male teen in the 1960"s and 1970"s, it was considered part of showing off your manhood by verbally "harassing" women. Of course, we did not look at it that way. But I remember being with friends in public and saying suggestive things to women in public. Or yelling out of a car window while passing women.   Now that the heels are on the other foot, I understand the unwanted attention and why some women dress down when out in public. transgender I now want to be part of the solution. So now when I see a woman who has taken the time (I know about that) to look nice. I will give them a "womanly" "crossdresser" compliment. I am not trying to "hit on them," but I want to say something that will hopefully make their day. I will say something positive about their hair color or style, clothes, shoes, nails or overall appearance. It"s usually quick and no response is required. However, most women smile and say thank you.
I hope my compliment will offset some jerk who may harass them during the day. Thanks to the success of the LGBT movement, 99.99% of people say nothing to you during the day when in girl mode. But that one person who gives you that look or says something negative can mess up your whole day or at least throw your confidence off. transgender Then it occurred to me that when I see a transgender person, I should go out of my way to give her a compliment whether I read them or not. I may be wrong that they are trans, so I compliment them just like any other women. I was at a restaurant in guy mode and my waiter was a thin young man, who was broadcasting female signals through his mannerism and overall style. I first complimented him on his eyes. Later, I told him I was a transwoman crossdressing as a guy :-}. (I was on my way to my electrologist.) That was the first time I just came out and told someone in a matter-of-fact way.
He asked if we could talk for a few minutes. We did and I gave him my history and what it was like in the 60"s, 70"s and 80"s for transgender people. As we talked, I realized that it is important that we need to come out (even in guy mode) so that we can help each other, especially the younger ones. I did not preach, but I told him the importance of higher education and how it helped me. I told him about my cousin, who was my age, quit high school and later prostituted, only to die of AIDS in 1984. I really felt good after our talk. We exchanged phone numbers and I told him he can call me anytime even though I doubt he will. I hope I had a positive impact on his life.
So now I compliment women all the time, especially seeking out transgender women. It helps me feel closer to womanhood and hopefully make someones day.
