How to Gracefully Wear a Short Mini Skirt (Male to Female Transgender / Crossdressing Tips)

crossdresser
Short skirts have manifold benefits. They"re convenient. They"re fun. They"re cute. And they"re very easy to move around in. Short miniskirts are the cutting edge in short-skirt living. They"re extra fun. Extra cute. Extra easy to move around in. And let"s be honest- if you"re not living on the edge, you"re taking up too much room.
Alas, living on the edge is dangerous. And because "crossdresser" short mini skirts are so... short... the reckless souls wearing them do run a higher risk of looking ridiculous / bad / trampy / gross / distasteful, and downright inelegant. Luckily, miniskirt hazards can be minimized. All you have to do is keep a handful of precautions in mind when donning them. With just an ounce "crossdressing tips" of extra foresight and the right attitude, maneuvers, and mindset, you can wear a short mini skirt with majestic grace- danger be damned!

Get Some Attitude!

crossdresser
[product sku="T-11B"] [product sku="0629DP"]
Apparently, folks have this odd impression that miniskirts are all about making a statement. I personally see "sissy" them as more of a way of life, but to each his own. No matter how you see miniskirts or the wearing thereof, you will have to be prepared to contend with others" reactions to your way of dress. Some will admonish you about hemlines. Others will ask you if you"re cold. Others will say... other stuff. I recommend responding to all critiques and comments with benign ignorance- that"s what I do. But "transgender" you may also choose to respond with evil grins, colorful vitriol, or violent retribution. No matter how you respond to others" commentary on your apparel, you must respond with attitude. You, as a miniskirt wearer, are acting as an ambassador to the world on behalf of all miniskirt kind. Represent us well. We have a reputation to keep up - and develop.

Seating Hazards

crossdresser
Short mini skirts do absolutely nothing to provide a barrier between your pantied bum and whatever surface you sit on. You might not find this to be particularly troublesome, however some surfaces, such as seats on public transport, park benches, and the ground, are not exactly clean. Other surfaces, such as some chairs and benches that are otherwise free of germs, harbor particulate matter that might stick to your skin (especially if it"s humid outside) when it would simply slide off fabric. It is therefore important to watch where you park your backside when "sissy" wearing miniskirts. My general rule of thumb is not to sit down at all. This spares one any contact with unclean surfaces, and ALSO spares one from having to think about what she will place on her lap or how she will cross her legs to make sure that... well, that undergarments are not visible from the front end (because yeah, that"s another unfortunate side effect of sitting in a short skirt).

Watch Those Stairs!

crossdresser
Another thing about wearing short skirts is that stairs are an issue. Or they are if you don"t want people to see too much. So here"s "TIPS" where your ninja skills come into play! Only dart up stairs when nobody else is behind you, and if anyone ever is, maneuver so that you are BEHIND them. If you must walk up stairs in close proximity with another human, and if, god forbid, you cannot walk behind or beside said person, climb as closely in front of them as possible. The further up you are, the more they"ll see. If you"re really extreme (read: cool), you can take the ninja moves a step further by throwing sand into the eyes of those behind you on stairs, so that they are blinded as you ascend (or, if you"re particularly lucky, they tumble down the stairs to your great amusement).

Don"t Get Too Jumpy

crossdress
Some gals like to move around a lot. Kicking, dancing, twirling, jumping... whatever. It"s good fitness. Moving is great, but one must move with care when wearing a short mini skirt. There isn"t a lot of give, as it were. So one "crossdresser" must be sure that the skirt isn"t flying up any further than the one or two inches of leeway it offers, coverage-wise. With a bit of practice, anyone will find that this is most manageable. Of course, one can also take extra precaution by wearing tights for extra coverage. And for ultimate coverage, one can wear leggings. But those somewhat defeat the enjoyment one garners from dangerous, immoral dressing- or at least sneaking about the place wearing practically nothing. It is a trade off one must consider carefully.

Watch for Wind

crossdresser
Weather forecasts help one to know when one ought to don wellies and a raincoat, or to grab an umbrella on the way out the door. Weather forecastsalso aid one in deciding which type of short skirt to wear. If it sounds as though it"s going to be a windy day, you had better wear atight miniskirt. One that won"t flutter too high. Because wind has a way with loose, fluttery skirts. Even if the weather is calm, miniskirters still have to keep an eye out for breezes. Air conditioning vents, exhaust pipes, passing vehicles, and, yes, subway vents, are allresponsible for bursts of air that can lead to lapses in grace (because not everyone is Marilyn Monroe).

Wear Nice Underoos... or Bike Shorts

crossdress
If you"re wearing a miniskirt, rest assured there will be slip-ups. No matter how graceful you are. And if there are going to be slip-ups, you had best be prepared. If you"re the modest type, wear a pair of bike shorts. The pair shall need to be short, since most miniskirts are shorter than the average pair of bike shorts, but they"re still useful! If you"re not so much the modest type, just make sure you"re wearing underpants that would not embarrass you. Like the pair with Barney on them or something. Unless you"re a hipster, and in that case, proceed.

Be Shameless

crossdresser
Gracefully wearing a short mini skirt takes careful foresight. But it also involves a certain amount of reckless abandon. If you"re self-conscious about a short skirt you"re wearing, you"ll come across as awkward- not graceful. But if you"re actively trying to look graceful in a short skirt, you"ll come across as preposterous. The only way to truly wear a miniskirt gracefully is to embrace the hazard. Samurai warriors accepted the fact that, if given a choice between life and death, they would choose death. This enabled them to do everything fearlessly. If you wear a short skirt, you must accept the fact that you will, at times, look trashy, gross, scandalous, and downright wrong. Once you are at peace with this reality, you can finally flaunt the miniskirt look gracefully. That"s just how it works.

Best Brows for Your Face

crossdress
The correct eyebrow look can make or break the feminine face. An easy male vs. female marker are the eyebrows. Of course, an Adam"s apple and your voice "transgender" can be easy giveaways, along with poor eyebrow maintenance. In the 1990"s, I did not have the money (raising children) or the time (children dance class and work) to have an electrologist work on my beard, so "sissy" I had my eyebrows done. Within one year, I had my eyebrows permanently arched. No one said anything while I had this done. Years later, my youngest daughter stated that she hoped to have eyebrows like mine when she grew up. I just smiled and told her, "crossdress" she probably will. I really like my eyebrows and use an eyebrow pencil to define them. The correct eyebrow style will define and feminize your face. Matching your eyebrows with your face shape has a tremendous impact. The chart above shows the best eyebrow shape for your face. Some of the differences are small but its worth it. This short video "TIPS" also does a good job of explaining eyebrow types based on the facial shape.

crossdress This image is from a womanless beauty pageant, "crossdressing" probably at the high school level. I posted this image because it reminds me of me at that age. I was overweight and feminine in high school. As a result, I was rejected by females and derided by males. I escaped from that world by visiting the closets of my mother and sister to release the girl in me. If my school had a womanless pageant, I might resemble the girl above and enjoy every minute of the occasion just as she seems to be doing.

5 Makeup Rules ALL Transgender Women Need To Know (Male to Female Transgender / Crossdressing Tips)

crossdress Let’s be very clear, makeup can is not an easy art and takes a lot of practice to even start to get good. There is so much to learn about "transgender" brushes, styles, techniques, and products. “What brushes do I buy?” “How do I find my color?” “How do I make my eyeliner NOT look like I put it on while being violently shook?” Luckily makeup can be conquered and you can learn this mystic art that many didn’t get taught when most girls learn. So get a jump start with these need-to-know rules that "sissy" will expand your makeup game.
[product sku="0629DC"] [product sku="6917"]

1. Not All Makeup Brushes are Created Equal

crossdress This is one that almost every woman has to learn at some point. No matter how good you get, bad tools will never get you as far as proper ones can. This doesn’t have to mean you have to spend "crossdressing" obscene amounts of money on a single tool, but you will spend a bit more on many than you expect. I’ll put it this way, if you find a 47-brush kit on eBay for $7.95 shipping from China- don’t get your hopes up. They will work, provided the heads don’t fall off and the brush strands don’t shed, and can be good practice brushes. Much like an old beater car though, once you get the hang of it, you will want to move up quickly.

2. Beauty Blenders are Great, But You Don’t Need One

crossdress You’ve probably seen these glorious little spongy applicators with a rounded bottom, flat edge, and pointed tip. They are amazing for application, blending, and finishing your makeup and are very cool tools. You know what is also cool? That package of 40 sponge triangles you’ve seen in the "crossdresser" drugstore . They are incredibly similar material, and also offer a flat edge and a point for application. And as an extra bonus, if you fold it over- you get a rounded bottom ABSOLUTELY FREE!

3. Brow Abuse is Real

crossdress There is a term I used to hear alot in the early 2000’s for women that over-plucked their eyebrows. It was called “Bleething”, as in Yasmine Bleeth. You have no doubt seen what I mean. Thinning and attempting to even your eyebrows until your forehead appears to have alopecia. And the kicker? If you do it too much, they won’t grow back right or at all. Learn the right "TIPS" brow shape for your face, and stick to it. In fact, you are in luck. Thicker, fuller, and more natural looking brows are now “on fleek” (or “perfect looking”, for English speakers). Back away from the tweezers, and go to a professional waxer to give you a perfect starting point to maintain your brows for best results.

4. Better Skin = Better Makeup

crossdress In everything, the better the surface you are working on- the better the final product. Your face is no exception. If you want the best look possible then you need to make sure you are laying your work down on the best canvas you can. So develop a "crossdressing tips" skin care routine. There are a ton of products out there just ready to overwhelm you. Just know this, good skin care starts with three basic rules. Clean it. Moisturize it. And drink lots of water. Seriously, if you aren’t doing these things as a core routine, then it doesn’t really matter what you do- you’ll never reach your skin’s full potential. And don’t sweat the $40 container of face moisturizer. Yes, some of them absolutely rock. But you can set a good base just by starting to apply plain old moisturizer in the morning and at night.

5. You Have to Learn the Basics

crossdress In order to truly be good at anything, you have to know the basics. This is doubly true for makeup. You need to know how to care for your skin, you have to be able to apply foundation smoothly, you have to be able to blend, etc. If you can’t perform a basic lipstick application, I don’t want to see you going anywhere near attempting pin-up style makeup. If you can’t blend your eye shadow, you have no business trying to recreate the skyline from Aladdin on your eye lid.

6. You Are Already Perfect

crossdress This is the most important rule you need to know. Because if you don’t see how perfect you are already, then you will never be happy with what you see- no matter how much much makeup you put on or how well you apply it. Beauty comes from confidence and personality. That is what shines out. All makeup does is help you express who you feel you are to a greater extent. So if your nose is a little crooked, who cares? Straighten it with contouring, or just rock your own unique nose. Skin isn’t perfect? Spoiler alert- no one past the age of 11 has perfect skin. Trust me- they might have been born with it, but baby, now it is definitely Maybeline. You can always find flaws, so start looking for what you love so you can enhance it and show it off to the world.

5 Feminine Body Language Dos and Don’ts (MTF Transgender / Crossdressing Tips)

crossdress   Body language is a big part of your feminine image. In fact, it counts for over 50% of the impression you make on people. Is your body language telling the world that you’re a fabulous female? In not, it’s time to fix that! Body language consists of:
  • Posture
  • Gestures
  • Facial expressions
  • Eye contact
Here are 5 dos and don’ts for mastering confident, feminine body language:

1. DO work the S-curve

crossdressing
[product sku="0629DC"] [product sku="T-11B"]
Curves are a classic feminine feature. Beyond a bubbly  "transgender" booty and ample bosom, you can use your posture to enhance the curves of your body. Create an S-curve by putting your weight on one leg and pushing your hip out. Contrast this to a more "travesti" masculine posture where the weight is evenly distributed between both legs. This creates a more square and angular silhouette. Here are some tips for working the S-curve:
  • DO keep your weight on one side of your body instead of centered.
  • DON’T exaggerate this posture. It should look natural.
  • DO work the s-curve when you’re seated by crossing your legs or sitting with your weight on one hip.

2. DON’T take up too much space

crossdresser A wide, open body position is considered a “power pose.” That’s why you often see men spread their legs and lean forward at the shoulders. They’re essentially puffing themselves up to look larger than they are. On the other hand, a more closed position will make you look more feminine and elegant. It also makes you appear physically smaller. You already know that a lady keeps her knees together. But beyond that, you should keep your elbows in and avoid taking up too much space with your limbs. (By keeping your feet tucked close to your chair, for example.) Here are some additional tips:
  • DON’T slouch in an attempt to appear shorter or smaller.
  • DO stand and sit with lifted posture. Think “tall” instead of “wide” with your body posture.

3. DO mind your gestures

crossdressing Gestures are an important part of body language. Women tend to be more expressive with their gestures than men. Next time you’re out, notice the way women "crossdressing" use their hands and bodies to express ideas when they talk. To master fluid, feminine gestures:
  • DON’T make jerky or clumsy movements. Keep your elbows tucked in and don’t move too quickly. Practice making slow, smooth movements in front of a mirror.
  • DON’T overdo your gestures. Observe women to get an idea of the correct balance.
  • DON’T fidget. Avoid nervous movements like twirling your hair, shaking your leg, or tapping your fingers.

4. DON’T forget your facial expressions

crossdressing The expressions you make say as much as the words that come out of your mouth. If you’re feeling nervous, it’s easy for this to be reflected on your face. On the other hand, a pleasant facial expression puts people at ease and helps you get the respect and acceptance you deserve. Tips to keep in mind:
  • DON’T wear a stoic expression. What feels “neutral” to you may come across as grumpy to others.
  • DO put on a pleasant face. Keep the corners of your mouth turned up slightly. (This also serves as a natural facelift!)

5. DO make alluring eye contact

crossdressing Eye contact is a major way to gauge a person’s personality. People "crossdresser" who don’t make eye contact appear insecure or as if they’re hiding something. People who look you in the eye appear confident and sincere. Here’s how to use eye contact to make a feminine impression:
  • DON’T avoid people’s eyes. Be proud of who are you are and look people in the eye.
  • DO make eye contact and hold it for a second or two. (But not too long unless you want people to think you are trying to seduce or intimidate them!)
Let’s talk body language!
Body language is a fascinating topic and these dos and don’ts are only the tip of the iceberg. Let’s continue the conversation below! What other subtle body language differences have you noticed between men and women? Do you have any other tips to pass along?

How to Position Breast Forms(Male to Female Transgender / Crossdressing Tips)

You did your research regarding "transgender" choosing breast forms both from a model/style to match your needs and sizing perspective. Your long-awaited package arrives from your chosen online breast form boutique and now how to position for the optimum appearance. Your breast forms and bra selection will make the very most of your female shape only if they are sized proportionally and positioned correctly. It can be quite confusing with the different shaped crossdresser breast forms as to how they should sit in a bra. For example, an oval or teardrop shape tapers to a narrow end on one side. Which side faces towards the center cleavage area – the narrow or wider end? crossdresser
The answer will depend mainly on how you are attaching the breast forms. Will you be using a pocket ‘Jiggle’ bra, a regular non-pocketed bra or will you be attaching the "sissy" breast form directly to the chest with a medical adhesive?
The majority of our breast forms are sold with one or more of our sheer pocket ‘Jiggle’ bras that are made for our breast forms. The benefit of the crossdresser sheer pocket bra is that it holds the forms firmly in place against the chest, it has a sheer front so gives the effect of having real feminine breasts and due to the spandex material allows for the breast forms to move (bounce or ‘jiggle) as the wearer moves. Then there is a regular non-pocketed bra which is usually solid in the cup and should be underwired for support if it does not have a pocket.
[product sku="0629DC"] [product sku="T-11B"]
Both these bras will allow for positioning of the forms that will be quite different in some cases: SHEER POCKET ‘JIGGLE’ BRA TIPS: The shape of the cup in the pocket bra will determine exactly the positioning of the breast forms.
  • Remove new pocket bra from packaging and un-clip the bra band
  • Place the bra flat on a table with the pocket/back of the bra cups facing up
  • Hold pocket of the first cup open and slide breast form (nipple side down) you are holding into the pocket so that the widest side/end of the form is to the center of the bra forming the cleavage area. With such bras the narrower end of the form will be to the outer/underarm direction
  • Close up the pocket and make sure the form is in place
  • Lift the bra off the flat surface and place on the chest with arms through the shoulder straps and fasten the hooks. Adjust shoulder straps as necessary
  • Looking in a mirror make sure the form sits comfortably in the bottom of the bra pockets and the forms are well centered
The forms should now be correctly placed giving a pleasing feminine shape to the upper torso area. Generally, ovals and teardrops have a narrower side than points towards the underarm side and the same with asymmetrical breast forms. Rounded triangles have the longer side running along the bottom of the cup for optimum positioning. REGULAR NON-POCKET UNDERWIRE BRA: We do recommend if you are not using a pocket bra that you at least use an underwire bra which is needed for all but the very smallest silicone breastforms.
  • Remove bra from packaging, unclip band and loosen shoulder straps
  • Put arms through shoulder straps and clip up the hooks of the bra. Ensure bra is centered, band is flush against the chest just below the pectoral muscle
  • Take one breast form and place in the opposite cup to hand holding the form. If a fuller cup bra then the narrow end of the form (oval or teardrop) should be positioned to follow the line of the strap towards the shoulder
  • Repeat for the other side
  • Adjust shoulder straps so that forms positioned flush against the chest wall but not so tight that the shoulder straps are digging in
  • Look in mirror to ensure breast forms are resting full in the bottom of the cups and filling out the cup entirely. If the cup is not filled fully then you may have incorrectly sized breast forms or bra or the wrong shape breast form for your shape
Positioning the breast forms correctly in the right sized bra will ensure you achieve the most natural feminine shape so that all your dresses, tops and crossdresser lingerie look the most attractive by having all the right curves in all the right places. HOW TO POSITION BREAST FORMS WHEN USING BREAST FORM ADHESIVE: Always find the most attractive position first with a regular bra then make a mark on each side with an eye pencil before you start your adhesive application process. Don’t guess without the use of a bra unless you are very experienced or you will certainly risk poor positioning. Although we have given a guideline for correct positioning of breast forms, don’t be afraid to experiment with positioning according to the best shape you achieve for your body-shape. Need help with sizing and choosing the right breast forms then check the other articles in the Crossdresser Breast Forms section of our blog.

How to Paint a Dandelion on Your Nails (Male to Female Transgender / Crossdressing Tips)

Tips

The Beautiful "Weed": Dandelion

Taraxacum officinale, or the common dandelion, is an herb that is seen as beautiful by some and simply a nuisance to others. While many people think of "crossdressing" this plant as just a weed, it"s also used in food and medicine.
[product sku="T-11B"] [product sku="0629DP"]
Dandelions, especially when they"re in their seed dispersal state, are very popular in the art scene, being "transgender"  the subject for tattoos, paintings, photography and, of course, nail art!

You Will Need:

Tips
  • Your nails painted a color that will let the dandelion really "pop"
  • A thin nail art brush
  • A nail polish color that will show up against your background color
I chose to use black and white because I love the silhouette look "crossdressing" that only black on white can create.

Step 1: Painting a Solid Background

To make your dandelion the center of  the "crossdressing" show, begin by painting your nails a plain, solid color. You can paint them a lovely blue to represent the sky, green to represent grass, or just simple, elegant black and white.

Step 2: The Stem

Tips Tips
TIPS: Using a thin nail art brush, paint the stem at a slight angle (for a more natural look). It should hit your nail around halfway to allow room for all the fluff later on. To keep your stem from being too thick, make sure to wipe any excess polish off of your brush.

Step 3: The Center

With the tip of your nail art brush, stipple on some polish around the end of your stem to form the center of the seeds. It should roughly be a circular shape, but don"t concentrate too hard on getting it absolutely perfectly round. Tips Tips Tips

Step 4: The "Parachutes"

Using a brush that is almost completely dry (you don"t want there to be lots of paint or else your seeds will come out like huge blobs), draw very thin lines radiating from the center of your flower. Try to make them slightly angled, even crossing over each other in places, to create depth, variety, and a more realistic look. When you"re all finished, it should look something like a bursting firework or a spider with lots of legs. Tips Tips Tips

Step 5: Completing the Fluff

With the tip of your nail art brush, dab on little dashes around the outside of your flower at the tips of the thin lines you just drew. Avoid pressing down too hard or too many times on a certain area. To make your flower look three-dimensional, lightly dab on a few dots in the body of your flower (as if you can see through the thin seeds to the other side). When you"re finished, your dandelion should be fluffy and completed. Tips Tips

Step 6: Adding Grass

In order to keep your dandelion from feeling lonely, you can add blades of grass using quick upward sweeping motions with the tip of your nail art brush. Overlap a few of them for a three-dimensional illusion. Also, pressing down at the roots of the grass and letting up the pressure as you approach the tip of the blade creates a natural look. Try to make them sway in the same direction as your "travesti" flower to make it seem like a gentle breeze is blowing through the area.
